Can you quote against our coating specification?
Yes, and industrial work should never be quoted any other way. The spec names the surface preparation standard and profile the coating system requires, and the quote states the method and media that achieve it. If your spec sheet says nothing about surface prep, that is worth fixing before anyone blasts anything.
How do you handle blasting inside a maintenance window?
The quote and vendor paperwork happen weeks ahead, the rig stages before the window opens and the surfaces hand off to the coating crew inside the same window. Windows are unforgiving, so the plan includes weather contingency and a named sequence. Missing a shutdown date is the one industrial sin we plan hardest against.
What if the old coating contains lead?
Coatings applied before 1978 get tested before disturbance. Where lead is present, the job shifts to contained wet blasting with collection and proper disposal, and worker protection follows the rules. The EPA's lead program guidance is the reference, and any blaster who shrugs at old paint should not be inside your fence.
Do you do water tanks and overhead structures?
